RollerMouse Red – Rollerbar click not working after cleaning

Hello Contour Design Support Team,

I am writing about my RollerMouse Red. After I removed the rollerbar and cleaned it, the rollerbar click no longer works.

Symptoms

  • Cursor movement and dragging work normally.
  • Pressing the rollerbar produces no click and no click sound.
  • The unit makes a single click sound when it boots up.
  • When I adjust the click force and all 5 LEDs are lit (click disabled), I hear one click sound. Lower settings do not restore the click.

What I have tried

  • Reseated the rollerbar and both end caps. The caps click into place when pushed outward.
  • Reconnected the device.
  • Adjusted the click force setting using the left-click and cursor speed buttons.

I could not see a spring or other click mechanism part inside after removing the rollerbar, so I suspect a part may have come loose or been displaced during cleaning.

Could you tell me whether this can be repaired, and which replacement part or service option is available? Please let me know what details you need, such as the serial number or proof of purchase.
